Refund Policy 

We want you to feel confident when working with Fryer & Prose Editorial, and we aim to provide a supportive, transparent experience from start to finish.

Due to the time-intensive and subjective nature of editing, our refund policy is as follows:

Before work begins

A full refund will be issued if you choose to cancel your booking before any work has started.

Once work has begun

Once editing has started, refunds are not available, as time and work have already been invested into your manuscript.

Deposits

If a deposit is required to secure your booking, this is non-refundable once your project slot has been reserved.

If you are unhappy with your edit

We encourage open communication. If you have concerns, please get in touch. We are always happy to clarify feedback and ensure you feel supported in moving forward.

Editorial Disclaimer

Editing is a collaborative and inherently subjective process.

 

While we provide professional guidance based on our experience, training, and understanding of storytelling and language, not all feedback will align with your personal vision and that’s okay.

You are always the final decision-maker in your work. Our role is to offer insight, suggestions, and support to help strengthen your manuscript, not to overwrite your voice or direction.

By commissioning our services, you acknowledge that editing is interpretive, and that differences in opinion may arise. Payment reflects the time, care, and expertise invested into your manuscript, rather than agreement with every suggestion provided.

Terms of Service

By commissioning Fryer & Prose Editorial, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Turnaround Time

Our standard turnaround time is approximately 6 weeks, depending on the service and manuscript length. If any delays occur, you will be communicated with promptly and kept updated throughout the process.

Booking & Payment

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking and reserve your place in our schedule. Work will not begin until this has been received.

The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion of the edit and before final files are delivered.

Scope of Work

Each service includes the level of editing outlined in its description. Additional work or revisions beyond the agreed scope may require an additional fee.

Communication

We aim to maintain clear, open communication throughout your project. If you have questions or concerns at any stage, you are always welcome to get in touch.

Client Responsibility

You confirm that the manuscript submitted is your own work and that you have the right to share it for editing. Final decisions regarding all changes remain entirely yours.
